Fernando Vazquez

Fernando Vazquez has more than 25 years of experience in information technology, global operations leadership and digital transformation. Before becoming an entrepreneur, he spent nearly two decades at Hewlett Packard in global leadership roles, including IT Director for HP Financial Services Latin America and Global IT Leader for Marketing. He holds an engineering degree and an MBA from Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).

In 2018 he founded Galaxy Technology in Durango, Mexico, an enterprise software and GovTech company that today operates as Galaxy Meta, a group of around 20 people with three brands: Galaxy Technology for the Mexican private sector, Grupo Civik for government, and Cartwheel Galaxy for the United States and Canada, headquartered in Austin, Texas. As CEO he leads commercial strategy, client relationships and the group's expansion into Monterrey and the US market.

Under his leadership, Galaxy Technology has built a portfolio of proprietary products and services: Monetik for business digital payments, Resolvik for service desks, Vantik for data intelligence, Admik for ready-to-run enterprise products, and ReStacking, its legacy application modernization service. All of them are built on Fractik, the group's proprietary development framework, which enables mission-critical systems for state and municipal governments, judicial branches and private companies.

Fernando is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, Northeast Chapter, and co-founder of Korian Digital Valley, a social impact initiative focused on developing technology talent. He is an ITESM alumnus (EXATEC) and maintains an active presence in both Mexico and the United States, where he resides part of the year.

His career combines the operational discipline of a global corporation with the vision of a founder building products from northern Mexico for two markets. That dual experience, corporate and entrepreneurial, gives him an end-to-end understanding of how organizations modernize their technology without stopping the business.
